I’m in Vegas right now for a conference. I have been here for enough meetings in the last year and a half to know full well that this would be within arm’s reach of my bed:
So I made sure to plan ahead by bringing this:
This allows me to have a small treat without giving in to the mini bar. 1-2 squares of dark chocolate completely curbs my sweet tooth – even with M&M’s sitting a few feet from me. The sugar and calories in the dark chocolate are a fraction of what you’d find in any other these other trashy treats. I say trashy because that’s what they are – TOTAL TRASH. In addition to being low cal and low sugar, the dark chocolate is organic and has some nutrient value. So, no guilt there.
Now – my question for you:
How do you arm yourself when you know you’ll be faced with temptation?
Do you plan ahead and bring your own foods? Do you allot for a small indulgence and then really limit yourself to just a bit? Do you just say no and ignore the temptation all together?
